The briccole are the oak poles that for decades have guided navigation through Venice’s canals. Saturated with salt water and sculpted by the teredine mollusc, each briccola carries a unique history — visible in its grain, its natural perforations, its colour. No two pieces are ever the same.

The Sfojo is the defining object of Lunardelli Venezia: a functional sculpture inspired by the silhouette of the sole fish (sfojo in Venetian dialect). It is crafted from briccola wood, finished with natural wax, laser engraving, and — in select versions — gilding. Price range: €100–€140.

Every object is born from the dialogue between master craftsmanship and technology. The raw material already carries the marks of nature’s own work. The finishing touches (waxing, gilding, engraving) are applied by hand by the Master.

We offer two guided experiences inside the atelier:

• “The awakening of matter” — a guided tour with a live demonstration of the crafting of a Sfojo by the Master. Duration: 45 minutes · 2–15 participants · €50 per person.
• “Marks and grains” — a hands-on experience: sanding, waxing, and laser engraving of a Sfojetto, which you take home. Duration: 90 minutes · 2–10 participants · €100 per person.

Upon request, you may enrich your experience with a Prosecco toast or a refreshment with tea, coffee, and Venetian biscuits (+€20 per person).
