A Moment of Venice, in Your Hands
Not everything precious takes years to learn. Sometimes a single gesture, guided by someone who has repeated it for a lifetime, is enough for matter to reveal itself. Our Experiences are brief, intense encounters with wood — and with those who know it best.
A Rite, Not a Lesson
Here, you don’t learn a technique: for one hour, you inhabit the Master’s gesture. The wood that passes through our hands does not speak with a single voice — oak, Canaletto walnut and the atelier’s other essences each carry a different story, including briccola, an oak marked by the sea that has held up Venice for centuries. Every Experience invites you to feel this variety beneath your fingers, with no ambition of becoming an artisan: simply being present is enough.
LE NOSTRE EXPERIENCE
The awakening of matter
You will witness the dialogue between the Master and the matter. In this guided tour, we will unveil the secrets that bring the Sfojo to its absolute purity. You will observe the ritual of natural waxing that enhances the warmth of the wood, the laser engraving that defines its contemporary soul, and the precious art of gilding. A moment of pure virtuosity where Venetian historical heritage comes to life before your eyes.
Guided tour and demonstration of the crafting of a Sfojo, led by the Maestro.
Duration: 45 minutes
Capacity: 2 minimum – 15 maximum
Cost: €75 per person
You can enrich the experience with a Prosecco toast or a refreshment break featuring tea, coffee, and Venetian biscuits (€20 per person).

Marks and grains
You will become guardians of Venetian mastery through a profound, tactile experience. You will be the ones to give the final breath to a Sfojetto, working with briccola wood marked by the sea and by history. The Sfojetto is a fragment of the Sfojo, a horizontal section of briccola that reveals, in its cross-cut, the most intimate soul and the secrets of the wood sculpted by the sea. Through sanding, waxing, and laser engraving, you will feel the tenacious resilience of this natural material under your fingers. You will take home the piece you have finished: a sophisticated and eternal fragment of Venice, shaped by your own gesture.

The Imprint of the Tide
The absolute protagonist of this experience is the Sfojo: not merely a fragment, but the complete, circular imprint of a Venetian briccola. It is a horizontal section of solid oak that holds the entire chronology of the lagoon within its grain and diameter. You will engage in a profound, tactile dialogue with the undivided piece. Through the patient craft of manual sanding, natural wax finishing, and laser marking, you will lift the veil of time, restoring new light and vitality to the raw material. You will take home the piece you have refined: an authentic, visceral object of design where the nobility of ancient oak and the pure lines of contemporary design converge, shaped forever by your own hand.

HOW TO BOOK AN EXPERIENCE
Experiences take place by reservation, in small groups, to preserve the intimacy of the encounter. To find out the next available dates and reserve your place, write to us at info@lunardellivenezia.net: we will reply with the times and details for the atelier.
Close to the Master
Unlike our formative workshops, the Experience is a close, intense encounter: focused time spent beside someone who has worked this material for a lifetime, in an atelier where the noise of the city stays outside the door. You won’t take home a skill — but something simpler and rarer: the warmth of freshly worked wood, and, for one of the experiences, a small object born from your own hands.
